Roster

Software Solutions

The TIMS Rostering module encompasses all the processes involved with generating rosters for drivers and optimizing the final roster based on the projected payroll. The Award Interpreter incorporated in the TIMS Roster enables projected Payroll calculation for either simple award based conditions or sophisticated workplace Agreements. This provides a significant advantage to any business that requires a roster to perform within the budgets of the company.

TIMS Roster enables complete flexibility for creating and easily changing shifts and shift patterns. Multiple master templates of common rosters can be created and then modified to generate rosters on a weekly basis.

The TIMS Roster integrates closely with TIMS Operations Despatch and TIMS Payroll. Once the roster is finalised, TIMS Operations Despatch presents a detailed view of Drivers and Vehicles for all shift despatch points throughout a rostered day.

Operational changes to the rostered day can be auto generated into the Time Sheet. The Time Sheet can be further adjusted if necessary to account for any other changes not collected by Operations on the day of work. Once the adjusted Time Sheets are finalised, the TIMS Payroll generates the relevant payroll transactions for calculating tax, superannuation, deductions and leave accrual information.

Features

View, Print, File Export, Email an extensive range of reports on projected payroll and exceptions, fatigue, rosters (drafts and final) and many more. Master templates can be used to maintain the integrity of the rostering process and increase control over a multi-user environment. Daily and Weekly Rosters can be automatically generated using the pre-defined Master Template.

Shifts can be setup for any combination of start/finish times for any combination of days of the week. Detailed shift information can be entered to print on the Shift Instruction Sheet for Drivers. Shifts that are voluntary, include a crib break or are split can be easily defined in the shift setup. The payroll can be predicted based on the Weekly Roster which aids in the optimisation of the Roster so that overtime and other pay penalties are minimised.

The Weekly Roster and payroll information can be distributed via the internet using secure logon for the Drivers. Drivers can also view their weekly or daily roster and actual pay via a touch screen located in a separate area such as the recreation room.

The Weekly Roster automatically assigns Drivers to avoid fatigue breaches and ensure Drivers are adequately rested based on the number of consecutive days worked.

Drivers can be allocated to a pool of workers called Duty Groups. The Duty Groups determine the rotating frequency (or non rotating) of duties. Additional flexibility is provided for defining ancillary duty groups such as Training, Relief or Charter groups.

Drivers can be excluded from the Roster whilst still being available in the time sheet process for the generation of the payroll. A Drivers’ unavailability for a day or combination of days can be organised months in advance so that the generated roster applies the correct pay conditions based on the nature of unavailability.

A complete file can be kept on any voluntary work nominated by Drivers. Shift type, requested voluntary date and a detailed call response trail can be recorded. This facility also links closely with TIMS Operations Despatch which enables a Driver to use a Touch Screen to request voluntary work.

Complete flexibility for arranging shifts and drivers to accommodate operational changes. Shifts can be moved and swapped around the roster or even duplicated for training purposes. Pay conditions can be temporarily assigned to shifts such as tagging a shift to be paid as an overtime shift for the effected week only. Drivers can be Exchanged or Relieved without compromising their permanent or rotating position in the roster.

Complete audit trail is visible on all Rostering and Time Sheet changes.
